MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged stores to keep sufficient reserves of food and medicines during the national lockdown imposed by the Supreme Committee from July 25 to August 8.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, OCCI said: “The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry advises companies working in the sector of selling food, consumables, medical supplies to provide sufficient quantities of goods and materials in its stores and warehouses in various governorates of the Sultanate during the lockdown period.”
Ahead of Eid Al Adha, Oman will close all governorates for 15 days in a bid to contain a resurgent coronavirus pandemic.

The Supreme Committee has also decided to prevent movements and closing all public places and shops during the mentioned period from 7:00pm until 6:00 am during the lockdown period. Patrols and checkpoints will be intensified during the day hours.
