MUSCAT: Oman on Sunday increased the fine for not wearing face mask in public places from OMR 20 to OMR 100.
The rule also applies to public places, work places (public and private sector), and public transport.
According to the amended decision issued by Lt Gen Hasan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, the new fine comes in place due to the spike in coronavirus cases in the country and based on the directions from the Supreme Committee.
