MUSCAT: Nine people have been convicted for violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee that also include gathering in public places in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the Public Prosecution has informed.

In a statement issued, the Public Prosecution said each violator will be charged OMR 1,000, of which the fine of OMR 500 will be suspended until the final publishing of the verdict.

On July 12, the Royal Oman Police referred the violators to the Public Prosecution after they were found to have violated the Supreme Committee’s decisions by gathering in a public place.
