MUSCAT: Oman’s online payment gateway OmanNet’s service has been restored on Monday after it was temporarily suspended for nearly two weeks.
The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has informed that people can continue to use the service. “Services of OmanNet has been restored. Customers can now use the payment methods safely,” CBO said in a statement.
On June 4, CBO suspended the country’s online payment gateway service after it suffered a security breach that have affected users from making transactions online. CBO said it found some “unauthorised attempts” to enter the portal and the issue was being investigated.
