MUSCAT: People who are currently residing in Oman on a visit or short term (express) visa, need not worry about its expiry as its validity will be extended till June 30, 2020, a top Royal Oman Police official said on Sunday.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, the official said the two types of visas will be extended without any fines until June 30. The validity of these visas was supposed to end on June 15. “There is no need to worry. The validity of both visit and express visas will be renewed automatically till June 30,” he said.
The extension will be a relief to the hundreds of people who are stranded in Oman due to the closure of Muscat airport following the coronavirus outbreak.
