MUSCAT: As part of containing the spread of coronavirus, authorities will close Dhofar Governorate completely from 2PM on Saturday.
As per the Supreme Committee’s orders, apart from Dhofar, security agencies will also close four tourism destinations including Jabal Akhdar, Jabal Shams, Masirah and Duqm fromSaturday until July 2.
On Thursday, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health said that the lockdown of Dhofar Governorate means a total shutdown and that none will be allowed entry or exit.

Dhofar has so far reported 72 new coronavirus cases.
