MUSCAT: A total of 360 stranded passengers were repatriated in two charter flights from Oman to India on Saturday.
SalamAir’s first charter flight organised by KMCC Oman chapter took 180 passengers to Calicut at 8am on Saturday.
The repatriation flight had 61 patients, 17 infants, 24 pregnant women, and 24 people whose visa were expired. They were handpicked based on the Indian embassy’s registrations.
The second charter flight from Indian Cultural Federation (ICF) repatriated 180 passengers in an IndiGo airline. The flight took 11 pregnant women, 42 emergency patients, 50 stranded visitors and 48 people who lost their jobs to Calicut. ICF is expected to fly more charter flights in the coming days.
