MUSCAT: Residence permits of expat investors can be renewed electronically through Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI).
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak in the country, the government had stopped services including renewal of investor permits. However, in a statement issued on Wednesday, MOCI said expats whose residence permits have expired can send the relevant documents through email for renewal.
“The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the Ministry of Manpower and the Royal Oman Police (ROP) will receive the applications for renewal of the residence permits of foreign investors electronically (via e-mail) to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and to facilitate the continuation of work of institutions and companies,” the statement said.
