MUSCAT: AdLife a new 68-bed hospital has been officially handed over to the Ministry of Health on Sunday to treat Covid-19 patients in the country.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health on Sunday inaugurated the hospital in Al Amerat in the presence of MOH officials.
The hospital built by Dr. Thomas Alexander Chief Executive Director of Al Adrak Trading and Contracting will be used by the Ministry of Health for treating Covid-19 patients for a period of two months.

“I am very grateful to the owners of this hospital for their generosity and Oman Medical Society for making arrangements to treat the Covid-19 patients,” Al Saidi said in an interview with Oman TV.
In April, The Arabian Stories had reported about Dr. Alexander’s plan to hand over the multi-specialty hospital to treat coronavirus patients in the country.
“We were preparing for the hospital inauguration and that’s when Covid-19 outbreak started. I have been in Oman for over 30-years. This country is my home. This is the place that made me who I am today. In this pandemic crisis, it is my duty to help in my own way,” Alexander said.
Alexander’s company Al Adrak has been providing engineering and construction related services in the country over the last 30-years. “I always felt there is a need to have a full-fledged hospital facility to treat both Omanis and residents and that’s why we decided to build multispecialty hospital here,” he added.
