Oman to distribute 100,000 packages of dates to low-income families during Ramadan

MUSCAT: The Directorate General of the Million Palm Plantation Project and Nakheel Oman Development Company has announced that it will donate 100,000 packages of Omani dates to low-income families during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“These dates produced from the plantations of the Million Palm Plantation Project will be distributed to the low income families through various charitable organisations,” a statement from MDP said.

Founded in 2017, the One Million Date Palm Trees Project, which was ordered by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

MDP functions under the Diwan of Royal Court.
