MUSCAT: As part of reducing the expenditure, the Ministry of Finance has reduced OMR 500 million from the 2020 General Budget, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported on Sunday.
According to the circular issued by the finance ministry, a 5 per cent cut in allocations for the civil, security and military entities, and a 10 per cent cut in allocations for civil ministries and government units for fiscal 2020 has been implemented in the revised budget.
“The government is currently working to review the measures taken and adopt new financial and economic measures with the goal of achieving the economic stability of the Sultanate and growth targets set out in the state budget,” ONA said quoting an official at Ministry of Finance.
