MUSCAT: The government on Monday confirmed that unified isolation centres have been assigned across all governorates to accommodate those infected with coronavirus in the country.
According to the Government Communication Centre (GC), the Medical Response Sector, Public Health and Relief and Shelter Sector have been already tasked with this role. “The Supreme Committee has already assigned unified isolation centres to accommodate the infected patients,” a statement from GC said.
The clarification comes after reports on social media that a number of infected cases were transferred from Wilayat Jalan Bani Bu Ali to Wilayat Sur. “There are unified isolation centres in all governorates,” GC added.
