New Delhi: The nationwide lockdown in India to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19 is likely to be extended by two weeks after its scheduled end on April 14, sources said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who held a four-hour meet with at least 13 chief ministers on video conference today, has indicated that the lockdown would be extended after considering the request of the chief ministers, who preferred a longer containment period.
