MUSCAT: Oman has welcomed the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s declaration of a two-week ceasefire in Yemen.
“Oman welcomes the ceasefire declaration in Yemen and calls on all parties to take the advantage of this step and work to prevail over the language of dialogue to achieve political ideas and initiatives to reach a permanent ceasefire agreement and reach a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis,” the statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The ceasefire went into effect on Thursday.
