MUSCAT: As the Supreme Committee announced the lockdown of Muscat governorate starting Friday, April 10 to April 22, Oman’s Minister of Health has appealed the public to avoid panic buying as the country has enough food reserves.
“People should stay calm and avoid rushing to supermarkets. More crowds will only spread the virus. We have enough food reservers and its not a worry at all. All supermarkets will stay open,” Al Saidi informed.
His reaction comes after people flooded shops, looking to stock up on groceries and other items before the lockdown.
