MUSCAT: In order to reduce rush and prevent the spread of coronavirus, the government will launch an online app to purchase groceries from Mawaleh Market, Oman’s central fruits and vegetable market.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Theeb Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the “e-purchase app” will be made available to buy products directly from the market. “This will not only reduce crowd inside the market but also save the time of the customers. This is one of the best ways of social distancing,” Al Theeb said.
