MUSCAT: Around 2,000 people are currently under institutional quarantine, Government Communication (GC) said.
According to GC, these 2,000 people have returned from abroad and does not have adequate conditions to isolate at home. “They are now in the designated space provided by the Ministry of Health and they will be under institutional quarantine for 14-days,” GC said.
Oman on Sunday confirmed 167 coronavirus cases in the country. Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism confirmed that around 4,000 hotels rooms have been provided to Ministry of Health to house citizens and students who are returning from abroad.
