MUSCAT: Alarm over coronavirus has caused a run on hand sanitizers. But the authorities are making sure that supermarkets and pharmacies keep them in stock all times. But what happens if hand sanitisers run out of stores in Oman?
While using hand sanitizer is a smart way to slow and prevent the spread of viruses, keep in mind that washing your hands thoroughly with soap is more effective than using hand sanitiser.
In a message to people, the Government Communication (GC) said washing hands with normal soap is an effective method to prevent Covid-19. Hand washing with soap reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands.
