MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that no cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-2019) reported in port city of Duqm. The Ministry urged everyone to consult the official sources and stop paying attention to the rumours.
The statement comes after rumours in the social media of a discovery of a number of people testing positive for the virus, which the ministry said is fake news. “There is no truth in what is being circulated on social media about the discovery of a number coronavirus cases in Duqm,” the ministry confirmed.
Oman on Monday confirmed first two cases of coronavirus cases in the country after two women who arrived from Iran were tested positive.
