MUSCAT: Indian Schools Board of Directors (BOD) has denied a report that said students were asked to go home as their family could not afford to pay the schools fees.
Speaking exclusively to The Arabian Stories, a senior BOD official has clarified that no students from any Indian schools in Oman were sent home because they were unable to pay the fees. “As far as we know, no such incidents have happened in any Indian schools. Even the BOD did not receive any complaints on this matter,” he said.
According to a report, three students from a family were allegedly told by authorities at an Indian school to go home because they could not afford to pay the fees. However, the BOD official has maintained that all Indian schools in Oman have systems in place to help parents who face difficulties in paying fees.

“We have always said this and would like to reiterate that no Indian school students will be forced to sit at home because they are unable to pay fees. We have various systems in place to help parents deal with such situations,” he added.
