MUSCAT: Ministry of Health has strongly denied a news report of coronavirus cases in Oman.

A little known website carried a news stating that six Omanis and one Chinese have tested positive for coronavirus in Muscat. The news created panic among people, however, MOH strongly denied the news and termed it as “fake reporting”.

“No coronavirus cases have been reported in Oman. What is being circulated currently is fake. There is no need to panic,” Ministry said on Sunday.

MOH also urged citizens and residents to follow its official channels on any health related statements.
