Muscat: As part of the 40-day mourning period, schools in Oman have been asked not to raise the national flag and chant the Royal anthem during the morning assembly, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has informed.
In a circular issued to the schools as per the directives of the Diwan of Royal Court, MOE said to stop the Royal anthem till the mourning period.
The 40-day mourning period ends on February 21.
