MUSCAT: Starting from February 7, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) will stop accepting paper applications for customs clearance.
MOCI will now accept all applications related to customs clearance through a single window online platform — Bayan.
“Effective of February 7, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Directorate General of Customs will suspend all the paper applications to the tax and duty exemptions,” a statement from MOCI said.
