Muscat: An Emirati citizen was rescued after his vehicle broke down and was lost in in Al Sharqiyah desert for three days, the Royal Oman Police informed on Tuesday.
In a statement issued, ROp said the man was stuck in the desert of Al Nakda in wilayat Jalan Bani Bu Ali in South Al Sharqiyah. “Police helicopters carried a search and rescue operation for an Emirati citizen after his vehicle broke down and was lost for three days in the desert of Al Nakda in wilayat Jalan Bani Bu Ali, South Al Sharqiya governorate. He returned safely to the police station,” the statement said.
