Muscat: People living in Oman have expressed confidence in His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s abilities to take Oman forward.

During his Royal Speech, upon ascending the throne, Sultan Haitham called on citizens and residents to work together for the country. “The thrust on our shoulders and the immense responsibilities require us all to work together for the sake of our country’s magnificence, with a persistent resolve to promote it to the loftiest levels.This cannot be realised without your support and cooperation and combination of all efforts to achieve the desired supreme national goal. Your contribution to enrich all efforts of progress, development and prosperity will be highly appreciated,” His Majesty said.

Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Pankaj Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas said the nation has already rallied behind His Majesty to take the nation forward. “We are offering our full support and we are with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to continue the legacy of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos,” he said.

While offering her greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, Areej Mohsin Haider Darwish, Chairperson of MHD Group said: “We wish His Majesty a successful era marked with peace and prosperity.”

Pankaj Khimji praised Sultan Haitham’s abilities in guiding the nation. “Oman is in the safe hands of His Majesty Sultan Haitham. He is the best man to guide us. I am sure he will take the legacy of the great Sultan Qaboos era forward,” Pankaj added.
