Muscat: Oman has suspended all flights from the country to China, where the novel coronavirus outbreak has claimed 304 lives so far.
National airline Oman Air flies non-stop flights to China. The decision by the country’s airline regulator the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) means all flights to China stands suspended starting today.
In a statement issued on Sunday, PACA said the decision was taken after close consultation with the Ministry of Health. “The authority suspends all flights from Oman to China as of February 2, 2020 until further notice,” the statement added.
