Muscat: A motorist has been arrested for performing dangerous stunts and drifting on a public road in North Al Batinah.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested the man after a video that went viral on social media. The video shows he had intentionally performed the stunts on the road posing a grave risk to road users’ life and endangering safety.
“His act has put people’s lives at risk. This is dangerous. He had admitted his mistake and legal procedures are underway,” said a statement from ROP.

Oman has been witnessing a number of road stunts recently, and the public was warned against such dangerous and illegal practices.
