Muscat: Oman’s budget career SalamAir flying to Salalah was diverted back to Muscat due to bad weather conditions, the airline informed on Tuesday.
The flight, however, flew back to Salalah on Tuesday morning and landed at 10:40am
According to the airline, the flight OV113 took-off from Muscat International Airport early morning on Tuesday and was about to land at Salalah airport but was forced to return due to strong winds.
“SalamAir flight OV113 was about to land in Salalah International Airport as scheduled but due to strong winds the pilot in consultation with authorities decided to return back to Muscat International Airport due to safety reasons and landed at Muscat International Airport at 2:45 am.”
“We assure the same will not be compromised at any time,” the statement from the airline added.
