Muscat: Omani students studying in China are not affected by the coronavirus outbreak that rocked the country.
In a statement issued through the Oman News Agency (ONA), the embassy in Beijing has confirmed that the Omani students in the country are doing well.
“The Omani students residing in China are fine and their conditions are not cause for concern. Omani officials in China are following their health conditions continuously and have appealed to them the need to adhere to the preventive measures taken by the Chinese health authorities to deal with this epidemic,” ONA reported on Sunday.

As many as 56 people were dead and more than 1,500 people infected with the virus in China.
