Coronavirus outbreak: China returnees must visit health centres in Oman, says Ministry of Health

MOH has informed that as of now the World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend travel restrictions to China.

MUSCAT: Ministry of Health (MOH) has urged those coming from China or those who are in direct contact with a person who has visited the coronavirus hit country to visit the nearest health centre. 

“If you have the symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, diarrhoea or vomiting, please visit the airport health control clinic or the nearest health centre while you are in Oman and report your travel history,’ the ministry said in a guideline issued on Saturday as the deadly coronavirus has spread across 10 Asian countries. 

In China the death toll in the outbreak has risen to 56 and number of infected people rose to 1,975.

The ministry has informed that as of now the World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend travel restrictions to China or any of the areas where the new Coronavirus has appeared.
