Muscat: United Nations (UN) Secretary General António Guterres, heaped praise on the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur and called him as the “symbol of wisdom” and described his demise as a “great loss for the Omani people and for the whole world.
“The late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos was a symbol of wisdom. He brought peace to the region and contributed more than anyone else in order to respect peace in the world. ”
“The late His Majesty left a profound impact on everyone who knew him. I hope that the Sultanate will continue to benefit from all the achievements made by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos,” he added.
