MUSCAT: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to Twitter to condole the passing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
“The Sultan of loyalty, love, and wisdom is gone. May his soul rest in peace. Our condolences to our brothers in Oman and to all people connected with Oman’s culture and history, the resting place of the leader of the Omani Renaissance”, Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet on his official twitter account.
Sultan Qaboos, the longest-reigning leader of the modern Arab world died on Friday at the age of 79.
