Muscat: The directorate of private health establishment in the Muscat region in cooperation with 

Directorate General of Private Health Establishment at Ministry of Health (MOH) organized an exhibition titled ‘Excellence Award for the private health sector in Oman 2019’ at Mall of Muscat. 

The event was held under the patronage of Dr.Fatma Mohd Al Ajmi, Director General of the Directorate of Health Services in Muscat Region.

 The institutional excellence award for the private health sector seeks to implement the culture of excellence in private health care establishment .This will enable the creation of competitive work environment according to global standards.

Dr. Tahira Mohd Ali Juma, Director of Private Health Establishment in Muscat region, explained the objectives of the event. “The main aim of this exhibition is to make the public aware of our department and the roles we play in auditing and monitoring the quality of care services delivered by the different health establishments in Muscat region. The event also seeks to raise awareness of our role in issuing the ministry of health licenses and renewing them to the private health sector,” she said. 

Dr.Tahira also stated that the exhibition aims to inform the public about patient’s rights and responsibilities, and in order to get the public envolved in the selection of the best private health establishment, they have 20 per cent of the votes in the excellence award.

The exhibition included many activities from different health institutions, providing explanation and variety of health services such as blood pressure check, blood sugar check, dermatological consultation, vision test, dietary consultation and dental check.

The attendances of the exhibition expressed their appreciation and showed their interest in the subjects covered in the event.

At the end of the event Dr.Tahira thanked everyone involved in the organization and participation in the exhibition.
