MUSCAT: The Ministry granted tourism licenses to four companies – Al Marsa Travel and Tourism Company in the Wilayat of Dibba in Musandam Governorate, with a berth length of 250 meters; Saraya Bandar Al Jissah Company (Muscat Bay) in Muscat Governorate, with a length of 105 meters; Muriya Tourism Development Company – Jabal Al Sifah, in Muscat Governorate, with a length of berths of 864 meters; and Muriya Tourism Development Company – Hawana Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate, with a length of berths of 482 meters.
The Ministry also granted two licenses to manage and operate marina berths outside the ports for commercial purposes to the Oman LNG Company in the Wilayat of Sur in the Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, with a length of 150 meters, and the ‘Shorooq Marine Handling and Navigation Company’ in the Wilayat of Sur, in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, with a length of 305 meters.
Through these licenses the Ministry aims to support the ports sector, maritime transport and the logistics system, enrich the tourism, commercial and industrial sectors in the Sultanate of Oman, organize the ports and marine docks sector, raise their quality and align them with maritime safety requirements.
The ministry invited local and international companies and investors specialized in the development, management and operation of ports and berths to view the investment opportunities announced by the ministry through various media and the regulations governing this.
