Muscat – In an online announcement, the Ministry announced the application of import procedures as part of the second phase, which requires importers to submit technical documents of the registered products.

The application contributes to organizing imports and ensuring the safety of products before they are used by the consumer as per the Ministerial Resolution No. 199/2021, which stipulates the implementation of Gulf standard safety requirements in cosmetics as a binding Omani standard specification.

Importers are required to submit all documents through the Ministry’s platforms to avoid delays in the arrival of shipments at the border ports (all documents must be submitted through the Ministry’s digital platform Bayan for approval before the shipment arrives in Oman).
