Muscat: Data released by the CAA’s meteorological stations for Saturday, May 9, 2026, showed extreme heat conditions affecting several governorates as the summer season intensifies across the country.
Following Qurayyat’s peak of 46.6°C, both Dima Wattayeen and Khasab recorded 45.0°C, while Barka reached 44.8°C. Other areas experiencing severe heat included Wadi Al Maawil at 44.4°C and Bidiyah at 44.2°C.
The Wilayats of Al Rustaq and Sur each recorded 44.1°C, while Al Qabil and Saham registered 44.0°C. Meanwhile, the capital Muscat recorded 41.1°C.
