Under the arrangement, Muscat Municipality will coordinate with municipal authorities in other governorates and utility providers to organise data exchanges between their systems. Field checks will also be carried out to verify and document information.
The electronic link is expected to reduce duplicate data entry and discrepancies between systems, helping authorities process transactions more quickly and improve coordination.
The initiative forms part of efforts to integrate government services and advance digital transformation under Oman Vision 2040.
