MUSCAT: Indian School Al Ghubra organized the Eighth Annual ISG Robotics workshop titled ‘Mobile & Fire Fighting Robotics’ on the 30th of September and the 1st of October 2022 in the school auditorium. The workshop was conducted by the Department of Physics in association with Innovians Technologies, Noida headed by the CEO & Founder – Mr. Prateek Gupta. Mr. Rahul Bansal, Ms. Bhoomika Bansal and Mr. Mohammed Mukthar were the assistant trainers.
Ms. Papri Ghosh, Principal, Indian School Al Ghubra delivered the inaugural address. The Vice Principals Mr. G. Sreekumar and Ms. Pyarija Cidar also addressed the audience. Ms. Lata Saju, Head of Department of Physics welcomed and introduced the trainers. The 10-hour workshop was spread over two days. 217 students from classes 6 to 12 enthusiastically participated in the workshop.
The event commenced with a brief introduction to electronics and robotics. The participants then went on to successfully complete the project of building 4 different robots. On Day -1, they built Light Following Robot and Manual Robot followed by Firefighting Robot and Mobile Robot on Day -2. The highlight of the workshop was the thrilling robot race conducted at the end. It was an unforgettable hands-on experience with great learning outcomes.
