MUSCAT: The Follow-up Unit for the Implementation of Oman Vision 2040, on Thursday, organised an introductory meeting with various government institutions and agencies concerned with programs, initiatives and projects that are implemented within the framework of realising the vision, to form vision offices in government institutions.

The establishment of vision offices is one of the most important tools for the success of the Oman 2040 vision, to be the link between the relevant authorities and the follow-up unit for the implementation of the Oman 2040 vision in terms of follow-up work, support, technical support, transfer of experience, knowledge, methodologies and work tools that are designed in accordance with best practices that contribute to achieving the requirements and objectives of the vision .

During the meeting, a vision was presented of the model for structuring the vision offices, defining their terms of reference and working mechanisms, the framework for the transfer of knowledge to the participating parties, mechanisms for building programs, developing their indicators and following up on their implementation, and introducing the importance of integrating joint efforts to achieve the vision, in addition to providing an indicative guide on the mechanism of forming the vision offices in accordance with the governance model. proposed.

These teams will work in all government agencies and institutions to ensure the quality of the plans related to the vision and the outputs of the development sessions related to it, performance management and reporting for programs and initiatives.

These teams will also be a point of contact with the unit and other bodies to contribute to resolving the challenges facing the initiatives and programs related to the vision and escalate them to obtain the appropriate support for their implementation and to ensure the alignment of the entity’s strategic plans and programs to achieve the goals and indicators of the Oman 2040 vision, while ensuring the quality of the selection of projects and detailed plans.

The Follow-up Unit for the Implementation of the Oman 2040 Vision will hold several seminars on a regular basis with the vision offices to support them in completing the procedures for their formation to carry out their roles to ensure their integration with the efforts to follow up the implementation of the vision in all parties.
