Omani trade delegation concludes its visit to Sri Lanka

The delegation visited the port city of Colombo to develop trade cooperation.

COLOMBO: The Omani trade delegation headed by His Excellency Redha Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, concluded its visit to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, which lasted for several days.

The Omani trade delegation met today with officials at the Export Agency in Sri Lanka, and discussed ways to develop trade cooperation between the two friendly countries and develop exports and imports between the two sides.

His Excellency Eng. Redha Al Saleh, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, head of the Omani trade delegation, also met with officials of the Ministry of Tourism of Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, he discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Sri Lanka in the field of tourism by promoting the tourism potentials of both countries, organising tourists’ visits and benefiting from available investment opportunities in Sri Lanka for Omani investors in the tourism sector.

The delegation visited the port city of Colombo, during which it was acquainted with the city and its facilities and investment projects in terms of hotels, service and recreational facilities.

The meetings were attended by Sheikh Juma bin Hamdan Al Malik Al Shehhi, Oman’s ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and Omar Liby, Amir Ajwad, the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman.
