MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee has allowed all government sector employees to return to the office with immediate effect.
Earlier due to rise in coronavirus cases, the committee had reduced the workplace capacity to 50%. In a decision issued on Wednesday, the committee said the earlier decision stands cancelled. The committee also urged both government and private sector to allow those who are fully vaccinated inside the workplace.
“The committee also emphasized the need for government and private institutions to commit to receiving vaccination as a condition to allow entry including malls, restaurants and other commercial activities, as well as attending cultural, sports and other group events,” the statement added.
