Agreement signed to implement Oman Vision 2040

MUSCAT: To strengthen mechanisms of work and joint cooperation, the Oman 2040 Vision Follow-up Unit and the German University of Technology in Oman signed a memorandum of cooperation. The aim of the agreement is to provide research support and exchange skills and knowledge in the academic fields in which the university operates.

The memorandum of cooperation aims to work together to overcome obstacles and find ways to enable the university’s green hydrogen centre to be a local think tank and a link between the industry sector and other economic sectors related to it and various local and international research institutions related to green hydrogen, in addition to benefiting from the follow-up unit for the implementation of Oman 2040 vision.

From the university’s experience in aspects related to future skills within the unit’s program for developing its human capabilities.

The memorandum will also work on the unit’s use of the expertise available at the university to review and discuss performance indicators and evaluate the steps taken to achieve the vision in the future, in addition to transferring knowledge in the field of scenario building.

The signing of this agreement comes within the framework of the unit’s efforts to follow up the implementation of the Oman 2040 vision in establishing strategic partnerships with public and private institutions with specialised expertise that the unit needs in carrying out its work.
