MUSCAT: Oman’s national football team lost 1-0 to its Saudi counterpart on Thursday in the match held at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
The match was a part of the seventh round of the second group of Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Firas Al-Braikan scored the only goal of the match for the Saudi team in the 48th minute.
The Saudi team raised its score to 19 points in first place, four points ahead of the Japanese team in second place, and five points from the Australian team, which ranked third.
The balance of Oman’s national football team froze at seven points in fourth place.
