MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour has decided to extend the registration of work contracts for expat workforce after arriving in the Sultanate of Oman electronically.
In an announcement, the ministry indicated that an additional period for business owners and institutions would be granted to complete the registration of work contracts for expat workforce until August 31, 2022
This comes with a package of facilities related to the procedures provided by the government, institutions, private sector companies and the workforce, in order to regulate the labour market, and in light of the developments resulting from the spread of COVID-19 and the precautionary measures taken.

The ministry has called on business owners and institutions to complete the procedures for registering work contracts before the end of the aforementioned period.
