MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik met British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at Number 10 Downing Street on Thursday.
Johnson said he is “honoured” to welcome His Majesty to the UK. “The relationship between Oman and the United Kingdom is one that goes back many, many decades and of huge importance to us in the UK,” the prime minister said.
His Majesty is on a private visit to the United Kingdom lasting several days, according to the Oman News Agency. Earlier on Wednesday, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II conferred the Honour of Knighthood on His Majesty when she received him at Windsor Castle.
