Muscat: Indian sailors were rescued from a sinking ship, thanks to Oman’s Coast Guard, who saved their lives on Friday.
In a statement issued by Oman News Agency (ONA), the Royal Oman Police ship Sadah rescued the sailors near the coast of Dhofar after the vessel reported engine failure and was sinking.
“The Royal Oman Sea Vessel (Sadah), in coordination with the Maritime Security Center, carried out a rescue operation in which the crew of an Indian vessel were rescued. The ship was subjected had its engine damaged and was sinking at a distance of four nautical miles from the port of Dhalkout in Dhofar Governorate.”
