MUSCAT: An independent unit will be established directly under His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to measure the performance of government institutions,
In a statement issued by Oman TV said the independent unit will help to raise the efficiency of all government institutions. “It will ensure the continuity of their evaluation, and suggest mechanisms to raise their efficiency, while measuring the quality of services and the satisfaction of their beneficiaries,” Oman TV said.
On Tuesday His Majesty the Sultan chaired the cabinet meeting during which he reviewed the
results of performance by government institutions for the year 2020-2021. His Majesty affirmed the need for government institutions in the country to provide better services to the public.

His Majesty also stressed on the importance of concerted efforts by all state institutions in accelerating the development of government services, continuing the implementation of digital transformation initiatives and finding comprehensive solutions to challenges.
