Don’t cross flooded wadis in Oman, says CDAA

MUSCAT: Despite repeated warnings by the authorities, people are still risking their lives and those of others by crossing wadis.

Medium to heavy rain has been reported in many parts of Oman leading to the overflowing of wadis. In a statement issued on Friday, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said it dealt with a number cases of people stuck in wadis and appealed people not to venture across flooding valleys.

‎”A number of requests of people stuck in valley streams have been received despite the warnings, and they are currently being dealt with.Please adhere to and not take risks by crossing valleys,” CDAA said.
