MUSCAT: Starting from today (July 16), the new partial lockdown timings will be between 5pm to 4am until July 31, the Supreme Committee has announced.

“During this time (5pm to 4am) movement of individuals and vehicles will prohibited, commercial activities must also be closed,” the statement from the committee said.

Meanwhile, Oman will impose a full lockdown during the first days of Eid Al Adha from July 20 to 22. In order to facilitate the movement of basic services, a joint operation centre will be working round the clock with representatives from the Royal Oman Police, health sector, municipal sector, tourism sector, transport, communications and information technology, relief and accommodation, agricultural, fisheries and water resources. “People can contact 1099 for any information during the lockdown,” the statement said.
