MUSCAT: Oman will not leave any individual from the targeted categories without being vaccinated, the country’s Minister of Health, has confirmed on Thursday.
Addressing the Supreme Committee press conference, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said there is a mechanism for expatriate vaccination. “There is a mechanism for expatriate vaccination as most companies have reserved doses for their employees which have been given in defined dates,” Al Saidi said.
“The Sultanate will not leave any individual from the targeted categories without being vaccinated. Moreover, the expatriates in Dhofar Governorate who have not reserved the vaccine doses, have been vaccinated,” Al Saidi added.

According to Al Saidi, 36% of the total population that includes both Omanis and residents have been vaccinated until July 8.
Meanwhile, Muscat Municipality said it will vaccinate all employees working in the Al Mawaleh Vegetable and Fruits Market. “1,400 employees working in the Al-Mawaleh market for vegetables and fruits were vaccinated in the last two days and we will continue the campaign and until next week till all the workers are vaccinated,” said Issam Al Zadjali, Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
